Looks great, the 'Honey' color goes well with silver/brown watch, and it feels even better.
This band is almost a 1:1 replica of the one that came with my vintage Carrera, and fits the watch perfectly. It's very difficult to find a band that matches that look and feel. Quality here appears to be high, and you can't beat the price. I had only associated Speidel with "Twist-O-Flex," so it's great to see a variety of other options.
Speidel lived up to their brand's long history of quality. The delivery was much quicker than other products that I have ordered recently. The band was exactly what I needed and expected.
I really love this strap. Not only does it go perfectly with my Orient Tri Star (which has an unconventional dial color) but it also looks and feels far more expensive than it is. The luxurious feel of the soft and supple leather is my favorite experience. Literally, the very first time I wore it, it felt like a favorite, broken in strap that I’ve been wearing for years. Honestly, it had none of the drawbacks of many brand new leather straps. It’s the most comfortable strap I own and it’s now a greater pleasure to wear my Tri Star. Besides comfort, it also gets an A+ in aesthetics. The color, the slight taper, the understated driving watchband holes And the elegant texture just makes it a big win for me. Highly recommended!
I bought this specifically for a Seagull 1963 Chrono. It's very comfrotable, much softer than I expected. Not stiff or cheap. The stitching seems nice too, I do have a little concern for the loops that secure the slack of the band down when worn. I don't see any stitching on them. And on affordable bands they're the first to tear apart. I'm also curious about the Nubuck lining. All that meas is at some point you'll see cracking and even tearing of the leather exposing the insides.
That being said wearing it for a few weeks now. I'm confident I'll get my money's worth with usual rough daily wear in a warehouse and other abrasions from heavy motorcyle jackets rubbing against it while driving. If I can get 6-9 months of wear I'll love it.
One cool detail not shown in pictures is the buckle has a nice little Speidel "S" etched on the outside. It's a neat detail that adds charm.
My verdict is you may not get years out of it and nicely aged leather, but you will be satsfied with the price and quality you receive. Definitely a brand worth looking into. Also I love the Twist-O-flex bands. Have had one of those on a 1965 Marlin for about 3 years. Super strong and comfy. That's what gave me confidence to buy a leather band from them.
